My Thoughts

Alright! Now I’ve got that out of the way, here are my thoughts. I don’t think the four separate sets look that good, to be honest. They seem not nearly as detailed as the Iron Man, Star Wars, Marilyn Monroe, AND Beatles ART sets. And the parts that they were trying to make more detailed are not big enough to do it with.

If you look at the Sword, Trinket, and Cup for instance it’s just a few grey parts put together that resemble those items. But there’s no room at all for any good detailing. Adding those also ensures the animals are displayed a bit smaller as well. Which in turn makes sure these aren’t as detailed as they should be in my opinion.

Speaking about grey, there’s way too much of it as well. What’s with all the striped and checkered areas LEGO? How does adding these make the ART pieces better?

Putting them together creates a huge Hogwarts crest which looks slightly better. Well, half of it anyway. The top half looks ok, but it does seem a bit simple as well. But at least the animals have a bit of color. The bottom part is horrible though. The grey and white checkerboard looks like a transparent background in photoshop.

Color me unimpressed at all these. I feel like LEGO could’ve done a way better job on these by adding more color (less grey) and also using a single, bigger animal instead of an animal AND a trinket. That just clutters things up, unfortunately.
