I never gave the microfighters a proper look, to be honest, and I bought this little set because it was on sale and I wanted to have this particular Kylo Ren minifigure. But in all honesty, I really liked almost everything the LEGO Kylo Ren’s Shuttle threw at me. Color me surprised!

Minifigure
The main reason for me to buy this set is the minifigure. This particular Kylo Ren comes only in this little set and even for full price (which should be around 10 Dollars/Euros/Pounds) it’s still worth it. You get a nice edition of Kylo Ren. His black checkered armor looks good and you get a dual printed head with a neutral and an angry expression. Both faces also have the big scar. But where this minifigure shines is the helmet! It’s the awesome black and silver helmet with the red cracks. Kylo Ren also has his signature crossguard lightsaber.

The minifigure has a tiny flaw though. First of all the face on the back of the head is clearly visible from the back. You don’t even need to have that low of an angle to see it pop out. It’s minor, but it’s there.

The Build & Features
The build is as you expect on a microfighter, short and sweet. You’ll get the Lego Kylo Ren’s shuttle with the folding wings and the build is surprisingly solid.

I like the fact that the cockpit is printed which is a huge plus in my opinion. I also like that besides the black and grey color scheme, the set is also spiced up a bit with some red accents.

The engines jump out because they have those nice clear orange studs and what makes it pop even more and also add to the playability, are the two bright green stud shooters at the front.

My Thoughts
As I said I did not expect much of a set this small and this cheap but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s an accurate little build for its size and the minifigure is good and one of a kind. There is actually great playability in this microfighter and I expect others to have this as well (stay tuned for more microfighter reviews). This set is well worth the money.
Pros:
- Cheap!
- Good looking minifigure
- Solid build
- Printed cockpit
- Playability
Cons:
- Second face minifigure shows from under the helmet
